The online home for Australian and international customers has been told it will close its Adelaide-based operations.
Harris Computer Services, a software and technology company based in Adelaide’s West End, has about 10,000 customers across Australia, South Australia, New South Wales and Victoria.
It will close the Adelaide business in March.
“The decision to close is due to the difficult economic environment we are in and the increasing cost of living in the state,” the company said in a statement.
“However, as we have been in business for many years, we have always had the ability to operate independently.”
We will continue to work with the community and local businesses to build a strong future in the future.”‘
Unnecessary expense’Harris said the move was “unnecessary expense” but it was the last option to keep the company running in the “long term”.”
We are grateful to the community for their continued support over the past 12 years and look forward to continuing to support our business and our customers,” it said.’
Possible cost savings’Harries has been a fixture in the Adelaide market for over 50 years and is now one of the biggest names in the world.
The company has a strong presence in South Australia and the Northern Territory.
